This section offers essential information about virtual learning classes and technology to help you determine if this option suits your needs. After you register, textbooks will be mailed out before the semester begins, provided there are enough students enrolled to confirm the course. Books will not be sent for courses that do not reach the required enrolment. Alternatively, you can pick up your textbook in person at your local institute before the course starts. Note that not all courses are available virtually in every location due to student enrolment and instructor availability. For courses not offered locally, distance learning options are available.
Virtual learning classes operate through specific technologies designed to facilitate online education. After registering, you'll receive your textbooks by mail once the course is confirmed. If you prefer, you may collect your textbook from your local institute before the course commences. Course availability for virtual learning varies by location and is contingent on the number of students and instructor availability. For courses not available locally, distance learning is an alternative option.
Distance learning offers the flexibility of independent study with additional tutorial support. It’s ideal for those who prefer a self-directed approach or need to balance study with professional and personal commitments. This mode is excellent for continuing professional development and earning a CIP designation. All course materials are sent by mail, and communications, including test submissions, are handled via email. Distance learning students take the same national exams as their in-class and virtual learning peers.
